I do not have a laptop, can I connect this stick to my PC?
Yes, as this stick is a Telenor Smart Stick it can be connected to either a Laptop or a Desktop, provided there is a USB slot in you PC.

From where I can buy this stick?
Corporate customers can ask their Relationship Executives or Corporate Sales Executives for the Telenor Smart Stick. For personal use, you can buy Telenor Smart Stick from any Sales & Service Centers in 23 S&SCs in 16 cities.

I am a student; do you think I need this card/service?

Students can benefit from EDGE Internet accessibility and can use it for research, entertainment, blogging, chatting & surfing.

Can SMS be sent/ received with Telenor Smart Stick?

Can I use this stick with any Telenor connection?
Any GPRS enabled Telenor Postpaid SIM can be used. Performance will be the same. Special Data Package i.e., Data5 is designed to provide best rates of EDGE & SMS. Use of a Prepaid SIM is not recommended.

Can my existing Telenor SIM and package plan be converted to use the Telenor Smart Stick/Data packages?
Existing users of Telenor USB Stick (EG-162) or Sony Ericsson Data Cards can switch to Data Package 5 on their existing postpaid SIM. All other users have to purchase a new Postpaid SIM for use.

In what places can Internet be used with these stick?
Any town and city where Telenor service is available. Currently there are more than 1,100 destinations throughout Pakistan. These include all airports, highways, railway stations, hotels, cities and major towns.

Can this stick be used internationally?
Yes, with Telenor's International GPRS roaming- which is largest to be offered by any operator in Pakistan- you can use the Internet on your laptop in many countries. Details of countries is available on Telenor Website

Does this stick support a wireless LAN (WiFi)?

No, Wireless LAN feature is not supported by this stick

Can Old Stick be replaced with new Smart Stick E169 in warranty?
Yes.

What is the average speed I shall get while connected through my stick?
The speed varies depending upon various factors like signal strength, location, traffic on cell site etc. Stick supports high speed Internet access, up to 27 KBps max (236kbps max). Average speeds may vary from 8 KBps to 27 KBps.

What is the difference between Telenor Smart Stick and others?
Telenor Telenor Smart Stick gives you speeds four -time faster than GPRS countrywide. Moreover, Telenor Telenor Smart Stick provides you 1 GB inbuilt Micro SD memory card. Moreover, you can use Telenor Telenor Smart Stick as phone also to make / receive calls or send / receive SMS.

Other operators offer limited EDGE coverage. Moreover, there is no inbuilt memory in their product and these products cannot be used to make / receive phone calls.

How will I receive support for the stick?
You can receive support in any of the following three ways:
Printed User Guide provided with Telenor Smart Stick package: It contains detailed installation and usage instructions. A soft copy of the user guide is also installed automatically with the software.
Product details, installation guide, package details and FAQs are available Telenor web site.
Customer can contact 24/7, 365 days-a-year on Telenor Call Center (call 345 from a Telenor number or 111-345-100 from any other network). You can also visit nearest Telenor's Sales & Service Center for limited support for installation & troubleshooting.

How can I claim warranty for the stick?
Limited warranty for approximately one year from date of purchase is available. One-year replacement warranty at any Telenor Sales & Service Center. Please bring the complete package with the warranty stick and the Sales Receipt. The stick will be replaced with no questions asked.

Does the card need to be taken out while not in use or computer is being shut down?
In case of a Desktop, there is no need to take out the USB when the PC is shutdown. In case of a laptop it is advisable that the stick be taken out so that the stick doesn't get damaged when the laptop is packed up in its bag.
